Moving Multpliers

The chase for multipliers play a important role for the more competitive Scandinavian stations. Worked DXCC countries are valid for multiplier on each band. So in order to get into the top-ten there is a need of “Moving Multipliers”.
PileUP! 3/2006Scandinavian stations will sometimes ask a non-Scandinavian station to QSY for another band. So don’t get surprised if you are asked to go to another band. It means that you are very important! On CW: “PSE QSY 21037 21037 NW” or on Phone: “Please QSY to 21257 for a QSO!” If you succeed to make a new QSO, the Scandinavian station might ask you for another QSY! You can read about the multiplier strategy in “HOW TO REACH THE MEGA-POINT CLUB IN SAC CW?” by Martti, OH2BH & Ville, OH2MM in PileUP! magazine 3/2006 on pages 27 to 32.
